The L-19/O-1 Bird Dog joins the WarBirds.com squadron because of its gentle flight
characteristics. It is the ideal for low- stick-time pilots who want to fly a warbird but want the
stability of a high wing aircraft. The Cessna 170 was "drafted" into military use and it can be as
easily dressed in civilian colors of your choosing or wartime olive drab. The Bird Dog uses simpler
rudder/elevator control and like all the great WarBirds.com planes it has a low parts count for fast
and easy assembly. The recommended outrunner motor and economical two-cell Li-Poly battery will provide
plenty of power for your forward air control and observation missions.
